There’s 25 years of Australian Dairy history supporting every farmer we work with.

CowBank was founded in 1999 by Rod Banks, a former sharefarmer who understood firsthand how difficult it was to secure finance for dairy cows. After struggling to access support through traditional banks, Rod placed a simple ad asking if other farmers were interested in leasing cows. Eighty calls later, CowBank was born—Australia’s first livestock leasing business tailored to dairy.

From those early days, CowBank has grown into a specialist finance company with deep roots in the dairy industry. Backed by Suncorp and Australian investors, the CowBank team works side-by-side with farmers to structure practical leasing solutions that help them start, grow, or transition their businesses.

With over two decades of experience and a history of innovation—including helping launch Warakirri Dairies and the Farmpath investment platform—CowBank’s impact extends well beyond finance. It’s about relationships, insight, and building sustainable, profitable farms.

CowBank combines hands-on farming knowledge with sharp financial skills. Whether it’s leasing cows to a first-time farmer or helping a family plan for succession, CowBank remains focused on what matters: keeping dairy businesses moving forward.
